Shin-Sapporo is a little cosy restaurant tucked comfortably at one end of Suntec City. Started by a passionate local who has worked in Japan for several months to master the culinary skills, the place was set up to serve authentic ramen from different parts of Japan. Its novelty starts from its show kitchen for noodle-making at one side. Credited to be the birthplace of Miso Ramen, its signature dish is the Shin-sapporo miso ramen.
The ramen was springy and firm, yet delightfully chewy. Nice texture overall, not too thin and not too thick. The soup was intensely rich and extremely flavourful. But I felt that it was slightly on the salty side.
Overall, its cosy and homely feeling makes it a good place to chill out in a quiet part of Suntec City.

Buffet Town
I heard of this newly opened restaurant in Raffles City from DJ Darren on Power 98FM. With an area of more than 15,000 sq ft, the restaurant can comfortably seat up to 450 diners. Not only is this one of the largest restaurant in Singapore based on floor area, you will be spoilt for choice by its huge variety of dishes. It houses more than 300 buffet items in total!
Its different types of sashimi (including the rare fresh raw Golden Pomfret sashimi) was without a doubt my favourite. The taste of it simply blew me away! It’s so smooth, fresh and crunchy!
The buffet spread also includes Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab (from live crabs!), Wagyu Beef, Man Tou, Goreng Pisang, fresh Oysters, Snow crab, scallops, crayfish, shishamo, ebi tempura, cold seafood, salads, sushi, crepes, pizzas, pasta, freshly brewed kopitiam-style coffee, prawns, herbal soup, mushroom soup, teppenyaki, laksa, chinese dishes, grilled salmon, satay, rojak, ice-cream, assortment of cakes & desserts etc.
It even has a playground inside for your little ones.
In particular, I was very surprised by the attentiveness of the waitresses. When I just finished my chilli crab, the waitress came by with a bowl of lime water & a stack of napkins. I don't even have to ask!
What else can you possibly ask for? With such a huge spread of food, Buffet Town is definitely worthy of its name and a must-try for buffet lovers.

Zam Zam Restaurant
I tried their Briyani and Murtabak. The Briyani here is so-so, but its murtabak is simply yummy! I am not a fan of murtabak but I really love their chicken & beef murtabak. For the price of the murtabak, the filling is huge and generous. The chicken & beef murtabak uses large pieces of moist chicken leg and beef, not the scrappy shreds in most neighbuorhood stalls. Its dough is very chewy and soft.
The service is efficient even when it was full house when I was there.
It is definitely a good place to chill out with friends/colleagues after a long day at work.
